2016

2016 promises to be another excellent year for sport. We will be running activities to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle as well as keeping things that have been working well.

Just a little glance of what the school will be offering this year:

Gala Days

  • For Summer we will be offering Oz Tag for Girls & Boys for both Senior and Junior students.
  • For Winter we will be offering AFL and Netball. Both sports allow boys and girls on the same team. There will be Junior and Senior teams for each.

Carnivals

  • The Swimming carnival for competitors will be held in Term 1 for years 3-6. (This is for confident swimmers only) BUT the not so confident (or learner swimmers) will not miss out as we will also be offering swimming scheme in Term 3/4. Swim scheme is offered from year 2 - 6.

  • Cross-Country. There will be a K - 2 and a 3 - 6 Cross country this year.  They will be held on the same day but when the students from 3 -6 go up to Hurley Park, the juniors will do their cross country at school. Both will be held in Term 2 and students who are 8 and over and place in the top 6 of the 3-6 Cross-Country will gain selection for the Zone cross-country.
  • Athletics. The school athletics carnival for years 3-6 will be held in Term 3 at the Campbelltown Athletics Stadium (with subsidised funding courtesy of our wonderful P&C and also from our Premier's sporting challenge funding). We are also aiming at holding a K-2 Athletics carnival (at this time a date has not been set)
  • Sporting Representation : Selected students in years 5 & 6 (and some year 4) will be given the opportunity to trial for Campbelltown Zone sports teams. There are many sports and the trials have already begun. If your child does things like diving, orienteering or tennis outside of our school environment, please let Mrs Menne know.
